On November 12, 2020, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, deputies and advisers to the khakims of regions and the city of Tashkent for the development of tourism and sports, as well as heads of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city departments of physical culture and sports, heads of regional departments for tourism development visited Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports.

First Deputy Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Ravshan Irmatov acquainted the guests with the work carried out in the ministry. Then Deputy Minister Nodir Muratov informed about the structure and activities of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports.

The report of the head of the ministry’s department M. Rakhmatkhodzhaev and chief specialist A. Nizametdinov was heard on the process of preparing our athletes for the XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021, the number of licenses received, upcoming competitions and how many more athletes can get tickets to the Olympic Games.


In turn, representatives of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city administrations were given the necessary recommendations for constant monitoring of the social status of athletes who won vouchers to the Olympic Games and who are fighting for vouchers, so that they think only about sports.

During the meeting, Deputy Head of the Department J. Yuldashev informed about the projects that the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports plans to implement to attract employees to a healthy lifestyle, popularize mass sports among the population.

At the end of the visit, the guests exchanged views on the prospects for the development of sports tourism in their regions and expressed their readiness to cooperate with the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports in this direction.

On the same day, the guests also visited the Museum of Olympic Glory in Tashkent. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize guests with the achievements of Uzbek athletes in world arenas and the history of the Olympic Games. It should be noted that the exhibits reflecting the glorious history of Uzbek sports left a positive impression on the guests.
