The General Secretaries of the National Olympic committees of 7 countries of the region – Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Iran agreed on this at a meeting in Nur-Sultan.  We remind that the Central Asian Games is a sports event held every two years until 2005 among athletes of the Central Asian Republics of Asia. In Kazakhstan, they took place in 1997. Almaty hosted those Games.
