The videoconference of Uzbekistan Rugby Federation and Regional Rugby departments held.

On December 17, 2020, under the leadership of Safaev Sadyk Salikhovich, Chairman of Uzbekistan Rugby Federation and First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Madjlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a  conference of Uzbekistan Rugby Federation and Regional Rugby departments was held via ZOOM platform.

Organizational issues were considered at the videoconference. Narbayev Alisher Tukhtaevich, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan was elected to the post of First Vice-President of Uzbekistan Rugby Federation, Dumaev Fayzulla Suvankhanovich, Vice-Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan and Chairman of UZEX Badriddinov Ziyoviddin Bositovich were elected to the Executive Committee of Uzbekistan Rugby Federation. Moreover, the option of holding a rugby tournament among women’s teams on March 8, in honor of International Women’s Day, was discussed.

In addition, issues about approving changes in the charters of Uzbekistan Rugby Federations in connection with the expansion of the functions. Including, the juridical address of the federation was changed from Osiyo 6 to Istiklol 51. Asian Rugby Federation changed to Asia Rugby, IRB changed to World Rugby.

The functions between Uzbekistan Rugby Federation and the regional Rugby Federations have also changed. It was decided to rewrite the responsibilities and transfer part of the functions to the regional Federations.

Safaev Sadyk Salikhovich commenting on the election of members of the Executive Committee and the First Vice-President of the Rugby Federation of Uzbekistan, noted the importance of fulfilling the tasks set by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the development of rugby in our country and achieving great success in international competitions, and also congratulated the newly elected members of the Executive Committee and the First Vice-president.
