The Olympic Council of Asia prepares for the upcoming competition
The Media Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) held the first meeting of the new OCA competition cycle.
“We have two busy years ahead and will welcome thousands of media representatives from across Asia and around the world to our OCA events,” said Media Committee Chairman Charles Lo. – In particular, the Sixth Asian Beach Games are scheduled to be held in Sanya, China in April, the Sixth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Bangkok and Chonburi Province, in May and the Third Asian Youth Games in Shantou, China, in November. These three events will set the stage for the successful holding of the XIX Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, in September 2022. ”
“Our goal is to provide the media with the best possible conditions for smooth and efficient work,” said Charles Lo.
In addition, we are pleased to announce that Rugby has been included in the list of sports of the XIX Asian Games in Hangzhou 2022. The Secretary General of the Rugby Federation of Uzbekistan K.Djalilov is a member of the Asia Rugby Executive Committee, at the regular meeting of which, it was reported about the OCA President’s statement regarding all necessary preparations for the successful conduct of the games in cooperation with the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee. Also, the OCA President conveyed his appreciation for the work being done by Asian Rugby as well as respective federations in the promotion and development of this beautiful sports in spite of pandemic.
