A scientific and practical online conference was held with the participation of leading scientists
On November 6, 2020, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports as well as the Olympic Academy of Uzbekistan organized an international scientific and practical online conference on the topic: “Modern science in Olympic sports.” The event, along with leading scientists of domestic sports, was attended by specialists from Russia, Ukraine, USA, Kazakhstan and Iran. The conference was opened by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Fikrat Kerimov and presented the agenda. Then the floor was given to the President of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov.
“We are delighted to welcome you all to this International Online Conference. This conference is a wide platform for mutual exchange of views and knowledge in the field of sports methods. Our esteemed President pays great attention to the development of sports in our country, as well as to other areas. It is a great pleasure for us to meet such leading experts with extensive experience as you at one event. Without the development of science, it is impossible to achieve success in sports. Taking this opportunity, I wish you all great success and victories in your further endeavors,” – Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov noted.
Further, the rector of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports, Professor Mahmudjon Boltabaev spoke and expressed his opinion on the scientific conference.
After the opening of the event, according to the program, the conference participants made reports on their chosen topics. In their speeches, scientists shared valuable information such as refereeing at competitions, medico-pharmacology and the correct organization of training camps during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as Olympic education. The scientific conference received about 200 scientific theses and articles from about 15 foreign countries and scientific and pedagogical personnel of Uzbekistan.
