The Professional Football League of Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan Rugby Federation are jointly organizing a seminar for doctors working in the Super League, Professional League and women’s soccer clubs. A meeting of medical staff will be held in Tashkent on August 21-22.
Rugby and soccer have a lot in common: it is a team sport, very rich in martial arts and high risk of injury. The role of qualified medical personnel in such a situation is invaluable. An example of this is Christian Eriksen who collapsed during a match between Denmark and Finland at Euro 2020. Thanks to the timely medical assistance the player’s precious life was saved.
The seminar “Emergency Medical Care in Sports” will undoubtedly be useful to doctors working in our clubs.
