17-year-old Uzbek chess player became the youngest World Champion

According to the results of the main 13 rounds of the World Championship held in Warsaw, the young grandmaster from Uzbekistan received 9.5 points, as did Jan Nepomnyashchy, Fabiano Caruana and Magnus Carlsen.

The winner was determined in additional games.

In a tie-break with two games, the first match ended in a draw. In the second match, Nodirbek Abdusattorov was stronger than Russian Yan Nepomnyashchy.

According to the results of the championship, the current world champion in classical chess, Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, took third place.
