On March 14 this year, the Minister of Sports Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov visited the rugby federation of Uzbekistan, where he got acquainted with the ongoing work on the development of rugby in the country.
During the visit, issues of developing rugby both in the capital and in the regions, strengthening the material and technical base, improving the skills of coaches and referees, selecting work with gifted athletes and developing elite sports were discussed with the leadership of the rugby federation.
The federation also provided plans to improve the training process of national teams in order to prepare athletes for the 2022 Asian Summer Games in Hangzhou.
Summing up the meeting, Deputy Minister Sh.Makhmudov, head of the department of the Ministry N.Makhmudov and director of the Republican School of Higher Sportsmanship in Game Sports J.Akramov made his proposals for the further development of rugby in Uzbekistan, support for the activities of the federation, and also outlined the next joint plans for the timely resolution of emerging problems.
