Wales winger retires at 27 to pursue medical career

Hallam Amos further sees himself as a doctor, not an athlete.

In 2013, the rugby player entered the Faculty of Medicine at Cardiff University and, seven years later, after graduating, decided that he still liked surgery more than sports. Amos decided to end his career at the end of this season and go to work in his specialty.

Unfortunately, the sports performances of the extreme quarter ended prematurely. In a match against Munster, Hallam injured his hamstring and ended the current United Rugby Championship ahead of schedule.

Amos is known for playing for the Dragons and Cardiff. The 27-year-old has 25 caps and 6 tries for Wales. Participant of the World Cups 2015 and 2019.
