On September 21 of this year, the UWED Academic Lyceum, together with the Rugby Federation of Uzbekistan, held a rugby event GIR (Get into Rugby).
This sports event is organized in order to implement the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 29.10.2019.
Presidential Decree -4500 “On measures to develop the sport of rugby in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, it will also serve to popularize rugby in our country, actively attract lyceum students to sports clubs and clubs, create opportunities for them to play rugby, as well as send talented young people to national teams in this sport.
As part of the sports event, rugby master classes were held with lyceum students by the head coach of the national youth team, E. Lebed, coach V.Pavlenko and foreign volunteer specialist M.Rio, the rules of the game were explained, and training exercises were performed.
