On June 14-20, this year, the First World Championship was held in the Department of Lot-i-Garonne in Agen, France. The national teams of the Armed Forces of France, Great Britain, South Korea, Georgia, the Netherlands, Spain, Australia, Uzbekistan, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire took part in the World Cup. In total, 180 athletes took part in the tournament, 60 of them women.
The men’s and women’s teams of Uzbekistan took the 5th place at the world championship on rugby-7.
It is worth noting that the places won at the World Cup were the highest results of the athletes of Uzbekistan and were won for the first time in the history of Uzbek rugby.
