On August 29 this year, a meeting was held at the Rugby Federation of Uzbekistan with representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) in Uzbekistan.
The JICA meeting was attended by the coordinators of the volunteer program Nakayama Mayu, Odiljon Khasanov and the volunteer Mr. Moriya Rio, who arrived from Japan, and Secretary General Kakhramon Jalilov, from the Rugby Federation of Uzbekistan.
The meeting discussed organizational issues and the work plan of a volunteer from Japan, Maria Rio, who is involved as a volunteer coach and will work in the Rugby Federation of Uzbekistan for two years.
It is worth noting that this will be the third volunteer trainer from Japan, who is involved in partnership with JICA. Prior to this, Japanese specialists Yu Hakuba and Yamamoto Tadaaki were involved in Uzbekistan.
