LAHORE – The Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU) has officially announced key appointments to the national setup ahead of the upcoming Central Asia South Asia Rugby 7s Tournament, scheduled to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on May 26.
In a significant development, Kashif Khawaja has been appointed as the national coach of the Pakistan Rugby 7s team. A seasoned figure in the sport, Khawaja brings with him more than 25 years of extensive experience as both a player and a coach. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in the development and promotion of rugby in Pakistan, earning recognition for his dedication, leadership, and technical expertise.
Alongside this, the PRU has also named Jahangir Nawaz as the strength and conditioning coach for the national squad. Nawaz has been closely associated with Pakistan rugby for over a decade and has previously contributed as part of the union’s strength and conditioning setup.
The PRU also extended its best wishes to both Khawaja and Nawaz as they undertake the responsibility of preparing the national team for this important regional competition.
