Surprisingly, the coronavirus still affects rugby. So, recently it became known that the Hong Kong national team decided not to participate in the Asian Cup, scheduled for late May – early June in South Korea.
It is unclear how Hong Kong predicted that it would be especially difficult with the coronavirus during this period. But the fact remains that Hong Kong is withdrawing from the Asian Cup and, as a result, stops fighting for the right to participate in the 2023 World Cup.
