The ceremony of awarding the winners of the Uzbekistan Sport Awards-2021 National Prize took place at the Hilton Hotel in Tashkent.
Winners in a total of 32 nominations will be determined at the Uzbekistan Sport Awards-2021.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Sports A. Abduhakimov, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee R. Shoabdurahmanov and a number of our sports officials, as well as athletes, coaches and media representatives.
Otabek Umarov, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia, was also nominated at the award ceremony.
According to a poll of fans, the “best athlete of the year” is the Olympic boxing champion Bahodir Jalolov.
According to the Republican Commission, the winner of the National Cup of Uzbekistan “Best Athlete of the Year” is the Olympic and world champion in weightlifting Akbar Juraev.

“The best young athlete of the year” – the winner of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in track and field Asila Mirzayorova.
“The best young athlete of the year” – the winner of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in track and field Boburjon Omonov.
“The best para sports coach of the year” – paralympic coach Sardor Abdukhalikov.
“The most courageous female athlete of the year” – the winner of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in track and field Nurhon Kurbanova.

The General Directorate of Tourism and Sports of Fergana region was recognized as the “Best Regional Department of Tourism and Sports of the Year” for its activity in the development of mass sports.
“The best sports doctor of the year” – Dilshodbek Mahmudov.
“The best sports site of the year” – Sports.uz.
The most active fan of the year is Abdurahmon Fazilov.
The Association of Mixed Martial Arts of Uzbekistan was recognized as the “Organizer of the most spectacular sporting events of the year.”
The most active press service of the year is UFA.
“The most active sports photojournalist of the year” – Almurat Mamadaminov, photojournalist of the National News Agency of Uzbekistan and Olampsort.com.
“The most active sports journalist of the year” – Shafoat Tolibjonova.
The Ministry of Defense Sports Center was recognized as the “Most Active Mass Sports Promoter of the Year”.
Chairman of the Council of Sports Veterans of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Makhsitov was awarded for “many years of service in the field of sports.”
