The national rugby-7 tournament dedicated to International Women’s Day among U-15 girls has finished.

On February 27-28, the traditional national rugby-7 tournament among girls under 15 was held at the stadium of the specialized sports school fortrack-and-field athletics and game sports in Tashkent.
The tournament was organized on the initiative of the Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange UzEx, the Rugby Federation of Uzbekistan, with the support of the Ministry of Sports of Uzbekistan and the National Olympic Committee.
Teams from Tashkent, Navoi, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Fergana, Namangan, Khorezm, Syrdarya, Surkhandarya, Tashkent, Andijan and Bukhara regions took part in the national tournament. The tournament was held in accordance with the rules of World Rugby.




Following the tournament, the teams took the following places:
- 1st place – Namangan
- 2nd place – Tashkent Region
- 3rd place – Khorezm
- 4th place – Amu Darya
- 5th place – Syr Darya
- 6th place – Nukus
- 7th place – Andijan
- 8th place – Surkhandarya
- 9th place – Navoi
- 10th place – Bukhara
- 11th place – Tashkent
- 12th place – Fergana
The prize winner and champions of this tournament were awarded medals and diplomas, and all participants received valuable gifts from the Uzbek Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange “UzEx” and the Rugby Federation of Uzbekistan.





The main objectives of this tournament are to develop women’s rugby in Uzbekistan, popularize this sport among young people, as well as improve the skills level and qualifications of female athletes, promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, develop and popularize rugby in our country, as well as implement the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 04.12.2024 No. PP-421 On measures to develop team sports and improve the system of selection of talented youth.
