The Borneo Sevens international rugby tournament took place on 11–12 April 2026 in Sandakan, Malaysia. Established in 2001, the tournament is one of the premier rugby sevens events in the region.
This year’s edition featured 8 men’s teams and 6 women’s teams, with participants representing Malaysia, Australia, Belgium, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Uzbekistan’s national teams achieved the following results:
🥈 Women’s team — 2nd place
🥉 Men’s team — 3rd place
Both teams finished the tournament with podium results, proudly representing Uzbekistan on the international stage.
As part of the tournament, qualified referees from Uzbekistan — Vladimir Pavlenko and Yuliya Ignatenko officiated matches at the tournament.
